Summary

As Product Owner, Digital Solutions Intelligent Document Processing, you will be part of a team chartered to work on cutting edge technology in the artificial intelligence field here at Iron Mountain. Being part of this team you will be exploring new techniques on AI principles that our customers can find and utilize data in ways that never seemed possible. Additionally, this role will help reduce manual labor cost and benefit clients all over the globe.
The Product Owner role requires significant experience in software engineering practices as well as mastery of Agile software product development methodology and practices. The candidate will provide product leadership within their scrum team and with various stakeholders; therefore, a deep understanding of the traditional physical records management space and the processes associated will be critical to this role. As a Product Owner, the candidate will be responsible for bridging the “voice of the customer” into the vision and roadmap(s) for the Physical Asset Management capability ecosystems as well as engaging business executives and engineering leadership on these capabilities
The successful candidate will have a bias toward action, a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products to market at speed, and a curiosity for digital & emerging technologies in addition to their deep expertise in the physical space. Excellent communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with the ability to lead product vision, roadmaps, user story mapping, backlog management, sprint planning/review, and incremental release planning and execution.
This role requires the ability to drive the Agile process within the Scrum team(s) as well as support the developers and SCRUM Master(s) during the product development and delivery lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
To gather design inputs from cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, marketing, customer support, scrum master, project management, and development team members.
To lead or participate in software scrum ceremonies and associated meetings and communications to stakeholders.
Managing requirements, use cases, documentation, and user stories for the current sprint as well as refining and preparing for subsequent sprints.
Software release planning & tracking:
Build, refine, and maintain the product backlog in alignment with the Product Roadmap
Responsible for user story definition, writing acceptance criteria, providing clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates, sprint planning, story sequencing, and drafting the team's specific objectives for the upcoming sprints.
Provide input on test strategy and test cases, being an advocate of quality solutions that meet or exceed defined customer expectations.
Manage and track release tasks & deliverables.
Perform reviews with internal stakeholders & commercial customers throughout the design lifecycle to ensure alignment on solution designs and requirements
Holds self and project team accountable for their deliverables to ensure timely, cost-effective project execution.
This position will require the following Skills:
Subject Matter expert with 3+ years prior experience with Records Management software and processes a must
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science a plus
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience defining & writing user stories and acceptance criteria for a Software Development team
Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in Data Analytics
Experienced in User Experience and User Interface design principles
Experienced in software development lifecycle (SDLC) including defect tracking and requirement management systems (e.g., Jira, Gitlab, Confluence, Aha, etc.)
Knowledge of Content Management / Content Services / ECM platforms / prior experience with these platforms highly desired
Self-motivated, not requiring significant managerial direction
Adept at adjusting to changing circumstances quickly and professionally
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Extensive understanding of Agile methodology or previous experience, implementing Agile onto a team is highly preferred
Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner, Scrum Master, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in an Agile environment is very strongly preferred
