Iron Mountain is hiring people who love to engage consumers with valuable information, compelling stories, and relevant interactive experiences.

The Manager, Content Marketing will collaborate with internal and external partners to develop various forms of consumer-facing content designed to educate, engage, and change the perception of consumers. Iron Mountain is looking to develop a world-class content marketing program, with top-notch digital content at the heart of that program. Success in this role entails creating a content framework, and the content to fill that framework, to be used on multiple platforms and one that is continuously improving and changing with consumer desires and industry innovation.

Simply put, this role needs someone who can excel at these three things:

Be the ultimate player/manager - lead a group of content professionals (employees and freelancers) while also being able to create and edit content yourself when needed.

Be a builder - develop effective processes, strategies, and capabilities for the team to achieve its goals. You’re not stepping into a fully functioning machine; you’ve got to do some building to get the machine working effectively.

Be a data-driven creative - use data and consumer insights to create effective, value-focused content, then use more data to optimize, iterate, and improve.

Collaboration with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Social Media, SEO, Web/Digital, Analytics, and Communications teams will also be critical to ensure all efforts drive the strongest consumer discovery and engagement. The candidate should have the ability to work in an always-evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and grow writing talent (1-3 direct reports).

  • Edit and/or write content in multiple formats for various distribution channels.

  • Own the content creation process and output for Iron Mountain.

  • Own and drive analytics and reporting for content.

  • Brainstorm and develop creative solutions to program needs and objectives (how to measure, how to engage, how to present information, etc).

  • Work with internal creative services, external agencies, and specialized content partners to develop web and online content in numerous formats (written, video, infographic, interactive, etc.).

  • Keep projects on target, on budget, and on time, ensuring quality deliverables that achieve stated business/marketing objectives.

  • Bring new ideas and projects to life on a regular basis – both short and long lead.

  • Work closely with the larger Brand & Media Team, respective business and marketing leads, and cross-functional teams to develop content.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years leadership experience, directly managing employees.

  • 5+ years in content marketing, publishing, or related field.

  • Enthusiasm and positivity is a MUST!

  • Natural storyteller and visual communicator.

  • Excellent written, oral presentation, and diplomacy skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong ability to work closely within a team structure and prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Has a passion and intellectual curiosity for all things digital and emerging technologies. Keeps abreast of the latest industry news and vendors.

  • Outstanding team player, collaborator, and consensus-builder, with a knack for earning respect and credibility quickly from management.

  • A problem-solver, a self-starter, and a design-thinker by nature.

  • Ability to be awesome.
